Fulham have announced the signing of defender Marcelo Djalo from Club Deportivo Lugo.

Djalo moves to Craven Cottage on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

The club has the option to extend the deal by a further 12 months.

The 23-year-old, who spent time with Real Madrid and Juventus, said he is "proud" after making the move.

Speaking to the club's official website he said: "The truth is, for me it is a proud moment. It’s a big club, an emblem of the city, and for me it’s a proud moment.

“Quite simply, I want to be here, I want to work here, I want to grow as a person and a footballer at this great club.”
