Former QPR midfielder Simon Walton found his next club after joining Sutton United.

The 29-year-old started his career at Leeds United, before signing for Charlton Athletic in 2006.

He then had spells on loan with Ipswich Town and Cardiff City before his move to Loftus Road.

Walton then had spells with clubs including Plymouth Argyle, Hartlepool United and Crawley Town.

Most recently, Walton had been playing for Guiseley last season before securing the move to Sutton United, where he set to ply his trade in the upcoming campaign.

The 29-year-old has more than 300 Football League appearances and was capped by England at U16.

Sutton manager Paul Doswell told his club's website: "He's someone I've always admired since watching him at Crawley. He's a quality holding midfielder whose equally comfortable at centre- half. He has a great passing range, will bring a winning mentality, and provides another leader in our dressing room."
