Former Brentford midfielder Jonathan Douglas is training with Luton Town in a bid to earn a contract with the Hatters.
The Irishman was at Griffin Park between 2011 and 2015, joining the club from Swindon, and he made 167 league appearances for the Bees, scoring 17 times.
Douglas was instrumental in helping the west Londoners win promotion to the Championship in the 2013/14 season and played a major role in helping Brentford reach the second tier play-offs in 2015.
However, the 35-year-old fell out with the club's hierarchy and was allowed to leave on a free transfer, signing for Ipswich.
He made 59 appearances for the Tractor Boys in the past two seasons and was released by the club last summer.
Douglas, who started his career at Blackburn has also had loan spells at Chesterfield, Blackpool, Gillingham before he made a permanent move to Leeds in 2005 .
His four year spell at Elland Road came to an end when he made the move south to Wiltshire and joined Swindon.
Douglas' Bees team-mate Alan McCormack left Griffin Park in the summer and completed a free transfer to Luton.
