John Swift is yet to hear anything from Chelsea regarding a new deal at the club.

The midfielder’s contract expires at the end of June but there have been no negotiations between the Blues and his agent.

And Swift, who has been on loan at Brentford for the majority of the campaign, is just leaving it to his representatives to sort out.

He said: “I've not heard anything about a contract. There aren't any negotiations going on. I think I've got to leave everything like that sort itself out.”

Swift believes he has learned a lot during his time at Griffin Park and admitted that he played more games than he thought he would when he made the move across London in October.

He added: “The physical side of the game in the Championship is massive. You've got to adapt your game every week.

“It's been massive for me. I've been playing out of position as well. For me, trying to get in and stay in the team has been the challenge. I think I've got more minutes than I expected.”

Swift made 28 appearances for the Bees during his loan spell, finding the net on seven occasions.
