Inter Milan are battling Fiorentina to sign Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah and it would appear the end is near for the Egyptian at Stamford Bridge.

Salah failed to break into Jose Mourinho’s first-team plans and spent the second half of last season on loan at Fiorentina.

The Viola have options to purchase the player outright or to keep him on another loan deal for next term, however the clock is ticking ahead of a June 30 deadline to get the move sealed.

Juventus are interested in the wide-man but Salah is understood to have concerns about how much time he would have to spend on the bench at the Serie A champions.

Italian sources have indicated that the 23-year-old will meet with his agent today to discuss his future and Inter are believed to have leapt to the front of the queue for his services.

Salah wants a reported £2million-a-year wage at Fiorentina, a vast increase on what he was paid last season, making him the club’s second highest earner.

Inter are said to be willing to sanction a paypacket close to that number and are waiting to snap up the Blues midfielder if he rejects a return to Florence.
