New Chelsea manager Antonio Conte will be looking to rebuild the squad after a season of major disappointment at Stamford Bridge.

The Italy manager is swapping the international scene for Stamford Bridge this summer after answering the call from Blues owner Roman Abramovich.

He will be taking charge of a Chelsea side that went from Premier League champions to relegation candidates in the space of a few months under Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho was given the boot after the club’s worst ever start to a season under Abramovich’s ownership and interim boss Guus Hiddink steered them clear of danger.

However, concerns remain over the state of the playing staff in west London amid calls for major surgery to the side that slipped way off the pace in the race for silverware.

There are question marks over the likes of Diego Costa and Thibaut Courtois while Eden Hazard came under fire after a dismal campaign last term.

Conte is understood to be desperate to keep hold of striker Costa amid claims he wants to return to Spain.

However, Courtois could be sold if the right offer comes in. Real Madrid are monitoring the situation and could splash the cash in the summer.

Zinedine Zidane is also keen on last season’s player of the year, Hazard, who looked a shadow of his sparkling best last season.

Hazard finished the campaign strongly though and now appears set to stay. Here's your chance to make decisions about Hazard and the rest of the team.

So, should Conte cut his losses with some of the Blues’ under-performing stars or does he need to keep the faith with the nucleus of a team that previously romped to the title?
