West Ham and Crystal Palace are reportedly chasing Chelsea striker Loic Remy this summer.

The Frenchman was backup to star man Diego Costa last season at Stamford Bridge and the rumour mill is whirring with claims that Remy is frustrated with life on the bench in SW6.

New Hammers boss Slaven Bilic wants to put his own stamp on the Upton Park squad but Alan Pardew has a history with the forward and is looking to seal a £10million deal to take him to Palace.

The Eagles manager worked with Remy during his time at Newcastle, signing him on a season-long loan deal from QPR, where he scored 14 times in the Premier League for the Magpies.

Palace are understood to have set a £60,000-a-week salary limit on any signings.

Chelsea chief Jose Mourinho does not want to sell Remy this summer and will again operate a squad featuring three first-team strikers.

Costa is staying after an impressive debut campaign but Didier Drogba has already departed, leaving one space to fill, which would become two if Remy follows him out the door.

Radamel Falcao is close to agreeing a season-long switch from Monaco while Patrick Bamford could also be an option if Remy departs, although he is expected to be sent out on loan to a top-flight team.
