German clubs benefited more from Premier League summer spending than any other country except England.

As much as £161.6m went to clubs in Germany this summer, including Chelsea's £21.7million purchase of Baba Rahman from Ausburg, as a result of transfers to England's top flight.

Only Premier League clubs received more money than German sides, with £204.5m being exchanged between the division's teams.

France were the next largest beneficiaries with £133.5 spent on Ligue 1 players, while as much as £81.7m was spent on players from Spain's leagues.

England's lower leagues also benefited from Premier League spending, with £65.7m making its way down the divisions.

Dutch clubs received £53.1m for their players, Italian clubs £51.4m, Belgian sides £25.9m and Scottish sides £12.5m.
