Chelsea have told Newcastle United they want £10million for England U21 international Patrick Bamford.
United have been eyeing Bamford as part of a summer overhaul but reports on Tyneside claim the Magpies have been warned it will cost an eight-figure fee to prise him from Stamford Bridge.
Sunderland, West Brom and a clutch of other clubs are also keen on the forward, according to the Newcastle Chronicle, however that fee is likely to act as a deterrent.

Steve McClaren is set to be announced as United’s new head coach this week and the former England manager is a known admirer of Bamford’s from their time together at Derby.
Newcastle’s summer shopping list includes two strikers and Bamford wants Premier League football next season after lighting up the Championship with near neighbours Middlesbrough.
It is understood Bamford would be keen on a move to Newcastle but QPR striker Charlie Austin is believed to be the St James’ Park club’s top priority during the transfer window.
