Kevin De Bruyne's short-lived stay at Chelsea has ended with a switch to Wolfsburg for an undisclosed fee.
The Belgian, who enjoyed a loan spell at Werder Bremen last season, made just five start for the Blues after moving from Genk in 2012.
The 22-year-old midfielder has signed a five year deal with the German club. Unofficially, the fee is thought to be around £16.5m.
De Bruyne, who was thanked for his services in an official club statement, struggled to catch Jose Mourinho's eye this season.
But he was comfortable in the Bundesliga, scoring 10 times in 34 appearances for Bremen last season, and was eager to return.
"I'm very happy that this transfer has been completed," said De Bruyne.
"I want to play my part, make sure we continue to be successful, and return to the international stage."
