Jose Mourinho is not concerned with reports linking Samuel Eto’o away from Stamford Bridge this summer.

The Chelsea star’s son is reportedly pressuring the striker to return to Spain when his contract expires at the end of the current campaign.

Eto’o, who turns 33 in March, is still finding his feet in England but netted a glorious hat-trick in a 3-1 triumph over champions Manchester United earlier this month.

With the Cameroon international starting to hit form, Blues boss Mourinho would be disappointed to see the veteran depart for another club.

However, much like with Michael Essien and Juan Mata, Mourinho will not stand in the forward’s way if his wish is to leave.

Mourinho said: “He’s very comfortable and we are very comfortable. I have a very close relationship with him. With his career, he feels very free and comfortable make decisions. He is enjoying his time with us.

“At the end of the season we will see what he wants to do. Maybe he wants to go to Mallorca to be close to his son. Maybe he wants to stay with us. Maybe he wants to return back to Italy with Inter.

“Samuel is playing well. His contribution to the quality of team is very high. We’re happy with him.”

Eto’o spent 12 years in Spain, starting his professional career with Real Madrid before going on to play for Leganes, Espanyol, Mallorca and Barcelona.
