Charlie Austin is not looking to leave QPR during the January transfer window.

The R’s striker was linked with a move away from Loftus Road all summer and is being linked with a move to Premier League side Sunderland this winter.

Austin is out of contract at the end of the campaign and would be free to discuss a Bosman transfer at the end of term.

He told Sky Sports News HQ: “I can't see myself leaving in January, because I'm concentrating on playing for QPR .

“I think I owe it them and my loyalty is with them, to help them and get promoted.

"Football is a small career and you have to make the right decisions, the right moves, and if it's right for myself, and my family and the people I bounce the ideas off then I will take on anything."

Austin rattled in 18 goals for Rangers in the top flight last season and started life back in the Championship in fine form in 2015-16.

He netted seven times in nine games before being halted by a hamstring injury during last month’s 4-0 drubbing at the hands of derby rivals Fulham.

Austin told Sky he was 70 to 80 per cent sure he will be ready to make a comeback in another west London clash on Friday night when QPR take on Brentford.
