Mark Warburton plans to bring Cardiff City winger Kadeem Harris back to Brentford when he returns to fitness.
The 20-year-old scored two goals in 11 games for the Bees before his loan spell was cut short because of a hamstring injury picked up during the 3-0 win at Preston in December.
Harris is back at the Premier League club for treatment and faces another four weeks on the sidelines.
Brentford have since brought in attacking midfielder Alan Judge on loan for the rest of the season from Blackburn Rovers.
However, Warburton wants to re-sign Harris when he is ready to play again.
“Kadeem could be out for another four weeks,” he said. “He provides natural width and pace.
“We know the new Cardiff staff well and have a good relationship. We’ll maintain a good dialogue with them.”
