Dagenham & Redbridge have signed Brentford youngster Josh Clarke on loan.

GetWestLondon revealed earlier this week that the League Two were keen to bring the Bees academy graduate to Victoria Road.

And with Brentford boss Mark Warburton keen to send the 19-year-old out to continue his development, Clarke has now joined The Daggers on a one month loan.

Warburton told the club's website: "Josh has done very well in pre-season training for us.

"It is now important for his development that he goes out and plays in important league games.

"Dagenham & Redbridge are a good club and it will be a great environment for Josh to learn in.

"Hopefully this move will work out for all parties involved."

Clarke was promoted to Brentford's first team at the end of the season after impressing for the club's U21s.

He made his first-team debut for the Bees against Derby last August, and also featured in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie at Peterborough before making his league debut against Colchester in April.

Fellow youngsters Jake Reeves, Charlie Adams and Raphael Calvet are also available for loan.
