Brentford are doing battle with Ipswich to sign Birmingham forward Koby Arthur, according to reports in his native Ghana.

The Ghanaian is out of contract at St Andrews and is keen to find first team football after falling behind Demarai Gray and Lloyd Dyer in the pecking order.

The 19-year-old has been offered a new deal by the Blues so any signing would result in compensation paid to Birmingham.

Arthur made 14 appearances for Birmingham and has had loan spells at Lincoln and Cheltenham.

The forward was born in Ghana and moved to England as a youngster before joining the Blues in 2012.

The Bees have reportedly received a bid from Fulham for defender James Tarkowski and have been tracking Yoann Barbet.
