Wigan have confirmed the signing of Brentford striker Will Grigg for a fee believed to be in the region of £1million.
The Northern Irishman was out on loan at MK Dons last season and Karl Robinson was keen to bring the striker back to stadium:mk after scoring 20 goals last season.
The move leaves Andre Gray as the Bees' only recognised striker, although the west Londoners have a shortlist of three to come in.
Latics boss Gary Caldwell said: “Will is the one we were after, he’s a a goalscorer, that’s what he does and why we’ve signed him.

“There were other clubs in the chase, including from the Championship, but he’s chosen to come to and we are very happy about it.
“He’s a proven goalscorer at League One level, and had a superb season last year on loan with MK Dons so he knows this division and is a real quality addition.
“The squad is beginning to take shape now and there is a great atmosphere in the camp, the addition of Will and Craig Davies last week has added to that because these are players with a track record for scoring.”
Grigg joined Brentford in the summer of 2013 and scored twice against Sheffield United but found himself on the bench under Mark Warburton's reign as the Bees won promotion but would not be given a chance under Marinus Dijkhuizen.
He was loaned out to MK Dons last season and helped them to second place last year.
