Maxime Colin is keen to see Brentford keep hold of their star players as the transfer window ticks down to the 11pm deadline.

The Bees have seen Jota and Toumani Diagouraga leave the club in the current window and are searching for replacements.

However, clubs are still interested in signing Alan Judge and James Tarkowski, but Colin is hoping that Brentford will stand firm and keep hold of their prized talent.

He said: “We hope everyone stays with the club. When the market closes it'll be better as some players are tipped to leave.”

Future in doubt: James Tarkowski

Tarkowski's future has been up for discussion after the defender refused to face Burnley on January 15, for which he was disciplined.

The 23-year-old subsequently revealed in his apology statement he has been looking into returning north to be closer to his family.

Colin doesn't expect to find out the whole saga but hopes a solution can be found and Tarkowski remain at Griffin Park.

He added: “We will never know the inside of the discussion. I don't think we know everything but I hope we find a solution to keep Tarky.”
