Brentford are on the verge of signing Stuttgarter Kickers midfielder Besar Halimi, according to reports in Germany.

The 20-year-old had been linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund in January but is now expected to move to Griffin Park for a fee of €750,000.

Mainz 05 had been in the running but Halimi opted against moving there and has parted with his advisors.
