Brentford have had no discussions at this moment as to whether Jota will be recalled from his loan spell at Eibar.

The Spaniard, who is immensely popular at Griffin Park, after his last minute goals against Fulham, not to forget his wand of a left foot.

He returned to Spain in January because of issues off the pitch, although he signed a contract extension at the time.

However, he has not featured as much for Eibar this season and reports in Spain have suggested he may return to Griffin Park in January.

Brentford fans are keen on Jota returning and urge the Spaniard to 'come home' in response to any tweet he puts out.

But head coach Dean Smith played down talk and insisting there had been no discussions at recruitment level.

He said: “Not really. Jota is still at Eibar. He's in and out of the squad at the moment. In terms of him coming back it's not been discussed at recruitment level yet.”
