Brentford B midfielder Zain Westbrooke has joined non-league Leyton Orient on loan.

The 20-year-old is the B team captain, and moves to east London on a three-month loan deal.

The Bees also have an option recall him after 28 days, and have also granted him permission to play in the FA Cup.

Zain Westbrooke makes a challenge

It'll be Westbrooke's second loan spell of the season after spending a month on loan with Solihull Moors, only to be sent off in his second game for the National League side.

Speaking to Brentford's official website about the move, Head of Football Operations, Rob Rowan said: "I'm really happy for Zain that he's got another opportunity to impress on loan.

"He's worked hard over the last 14 months and has impressed the staff with his application and ability. Now he needs to impress the staff and fans of Leyton Orient.

"I look forward to watching him over the next three months with our scouting department and tracking his progress in some important fixtures for Leyton Orient."

The midfielder has played 11 games for the B team this season, scoring three goals in the process.
