Birmingham are still looking to complete a deal for Brentford right back Maxime Colin, to go with their capture of defender Harlee Dean and imminent deal with wing wizard Jota.

The Frenchman has been tipped to move away from Griffin Park this summer, with the Bees moving quickly to sign Henrik Dalsgaard as a replacement earlier this summer.

No move had appeared forthcoming, however Harry Redknapp's side have made a last ditch move to bring the right back to St Andrews.

Earlier, Redknapp confirmed that the second city club had all but completed a deal for Jota, just over 12 hours after clinching a deal for Dean.

"A good player, a real talent. A real good footballer, can play, score goals,” Redknapp told talkSPORT.

"It's hoping to be done, it's not done yet. I just identify them then it's up to other people to get them in. I am not sure where we are at with it, hopefully it will get done.”

Dean was the first to make the move up the M40 when his move was completed yesterday.

In an exclusive interview with GetWestLondon, Dean said: “It's with a heavy heart that I leave Brentford. I've been there a long time and loved every minute.

“I had a great relationship with the fans and the players but I think it was just clear that it was time to move on and try something new and that's ultimately what I've done.”
