Brentford boss Mark Warburton is hopeful of adding three new faces to his squad in the next few weeks.

The Bees chief is looking to strengthen his ranks after clinching promotion to the Championship and showing the door to four fringe players.

Warburton has seen his newly-promoted side linked with the likes of Andy Keogh, Chris Basham and Luke Ayling in recent weeks.

But while keeping his cards close to his chest, the former Watford coach revealed they are closing in on some of their targets.

Brentford bound? Free agent Andy Keogh has been linked with the Bees

He said: "We are looking to add two or three in the next few weeks. That's the plan.

"We are in discussions with players and agents at the moment, so things are progressing nicely.

"We've been offered a lot of players, but you have to recognise we are at a different level now.

"It's a more difficult task to bring people in. They've got to be better than what we've got."
