The sweet sound of success greeted London Tigers on Sunday when they won the Musical Association League Cup.
The right chords were struck with a 6-2 victory over Hackney Casuals – even though the Maida Vale sode were 2-0 down after 15 minutes.
But orchestrated by captain Tarik Ellekhlifi, the team clawed back the deficit with a hat-trick by David Lalic, two from Jason Bernard, and a winning chorus from Terry Whitman and Ayman Assila.
“Well done to all the players and manager Aslam Khan for all their hard work throughout the season,” added Tigers chief executive Mesba Ahmed.
The Middlesex League ended on a bum note for Kensington Dragons.
Only able to drum their fingers while other sides caught up with missed games, right at the death Sporting Hackney overtook them to win the Premier League by three points.
However, there was no catching Pearscroft United in Divison One Central and East.
The Fulham side won the league by five points with Oliver Skeete (13) and Ricky Kempton (12) top scorers for the club in their debut season.
Thirteen proved a lucky number of wins for Paddington Elite as they climbed to a final fifth in Division Two. Anthony Emeh was the find of the season to hit the net 27 times for a team reborn out of the ashes of the old Charing Cross Association FC.
In their one only season before they amalgamate with Aym Higher from Greenford, AFC Hillgate finished third in the same league with Ash Atour their man with an eye for goal notching 25 for the North Kensington club.
