In form St Albans City will present a formidable test of Hayes & Yeading United's play-off credentials when the sides clash tomorrow (Saturday) at Clarence Park in the Blue Square Conference South.

St Albans are on a seven match unbeaten run in the league and have climbed to sixth spot - two points behind third placed Hayes & Yeading.

The sides have already met once this season at Clarence Park in the Setanta Shield when United won 1-0 thanks to a Staforde Palmer goal but that will count for nothing when they clash again tomorrow.

St Albans boss Steve Castle is expecting a tough game and says that United  are "exciting to watch and we will have our hands full against them."

Hayes & Yeading hit eight goals past Hillingdon Borough in the Middlesex Senior Cup in midweek with striker Scott Fitzgerald bagging a hat-trick.

Another United player on target in midweek was on loan defender Ronnie Bull, who scored for Exeter City Reserves in their 4-1 win over Swansea City, although he will be back with H&Y for the St Albans match.

The match kicks off at 3pm at Clarence Park, St Albans.
