Sean Sonner's last minute headed goal gave Northwood a 2-1 win over Redbridge in a Ryman League Division One North match played at Aveley last night (Tuesday).
The game was switched to Aveley due to problems with the floodlights at Redbridge's Barkingside ground.
Michael Gordon fired Woods ahead after only three minutes in front of a sparse crowd and they held this lead until the 59th minutes when Danny Murphy sliced into his own net to put Redbridge back on level terms.
With eight minutes left Redbridge were reduced to 20 men when Harlee Deen was sent off for a second yellow card.
Woods then snatched the three points when in the dying minutes Sonner head home Abdul Yoki's cross. Further good news for Northwood was the return from injury of central defneder Bradley Hewitt who came on as a late substitute.
