Josh Scott returned from injury to net his 18th goal of the season and send Hayes & Yeading United in to third spot in the Blue Square Conference South at Braintree Town last night (Tuesday 17/3).

Josh Scott returned from injury to net his 18th goal of the season and send Hayes & Yeading United in to third spot in the Blue Square Conference South at Braintree Town last night (Tuesday 17/3).

Scott had missed Saturday's win over Thurrock with injury but his surprise return at Cressing Road proved crucial with his 59th minute penalty taking United to their seventh consecutive Conference South victory.

United have now moved above Eastleigh and Chelmsford City on goal difference in to third spot and with seven games remaining are nine points clear of their nearest challenger for a play-off position.
