Two Josh Scott goals took Hayes and Yeading United to an impressive 2-0 victory at Welling United last night (Tuesday 24/2) in the Blue Square Conference South.
Scott took his season's tally in the league to 13 goals as United completed their second successive league win to stay in the promotion hunt.
They remain in sixth spot three points behind Maidenhead United who beat Fisher Athletic 1-0 last night and currently occupy the final play-off position.
Scott struck in the 10th and 80th minutes at Park View Road to further dent Welling's hopes of getting into the play-off picture.
The closest the home side came was in the first half when Loui Fazakerley hit the bar and Moses Ademola wasted a good opportunioty when clean through on goal.
