Harefield United chairman Keith Ronald is confident everything is in place for promotion as far as the facilities at Preston Park are concerned.

The ground has for the last three years held the E grading needed to take the next step and although that approval expires in March, it should simply be a matter of a quick visit from the FA to renew it.

The club would then have one year to improve the ground to a D grading, which would involve Harefield adding a third turnstyle and increasing the capacity from its current 1,040, to 1,500, which would essentially involve adding fire exits.

As well as Harefield, Biggleswade Town, Broxbourne Borough, Chalfont St Peter, Hanwell Town and Kingsbury London Tigers are believed to have applied for promotion to step four.

Only the champion is likely to go up unless that club has not applied, in which case the runnerup may be considered.

The Hares remain favourites for top spot and if they see the job through they would go into either Ryman Division One North or Southern League Division One South and West.
