North Greenford United 1-1 Uxbridge

Louis Stead grabbed an injury-time equaliser for 10-man North Greenford United as ensured a share of the spoils against Uxbridge on Tuesday night.

Stead connected with an injury-time free kick to scramble an effort towards goal, which deflected beyond the outstretched dive of Reds keeper Paul McCarthy.

And it was enough to give United caretaker manager Don Bennett a point in his first game in charge after Paul Palmer had been given his marching orders the previous evening.

In a predominantly lifeless first half, Uxbridge striker Craige Tompkins came the closest to breaking the deadlock, hitting the woodwork following a great ball from Matt Woods.

Chris Moore hit a tame effort at United keeper Liam Watson while Javonne Molloy was denied a breakthrough for the hosts on the stroke of half-time by McCarthy.

The game came to life in the 75th minute when Woods was brought down in the area by Watson, who was sent off, and Tomkins converted from 12 yards to put the visitors into the lead.

Tony Choules' side had an opportunity to double their lead, with Moore once again denied and they were made to rue that miss as Stead's 94th minute effort salvaged a draw.

Meanwhile, AFC Hayes picked up their third point of the season at home to Chalfont St Peter.

Tobi Akinrijin opened the scoring for the hosts, before Aaron Lansiquot levelled moments before the break to earn a point for his side.

Northwood found themselves on the wrong side of a 4-1 scoreline against Egham Town.

Rob Hastings' strike for Northwood proved nothing more than a consolation as left Northwood in 15th place.

Hanwell Town recovered from an early deficit to emerge 3-2 victors at Godalming Town.

Goals from Daniel Vincent, Bill Healey and Lewis Putman helped Hanwell to three points and fifth spot in the table.

Putman's goal came from a rebound after his penalty had been saved with the initial spot-kick awarded by the referee after a defensive scramble that occurred when Healey missed from 12-yards moments earlier.
