Chris Moore’s last-gasp hat trick goal was the equaliser as Uxbridge drew 3-3 in a pulsating game with Rugby Town in the Southern Football League Division One Central.

The leveller came in the fourth minute of added time as Craig Tomkins’ deep cross fell to Moore who made no mistake with a close-range header.

Moore opened the scoring in the 27th minute, as he pounced of Jon-Jo Bates’ saved effort with a poacher’s finish.

Rugby responded just after the break as Lewis Rankin’s shot escaped the gloves of Rourke Pickford in the Uxbridge goal.

The Reds regained the lead shortly after the hour when Tomkins crossed for Moore who eluded his marker for his second of the match.

Again though the visitors equalised, as Justin Marsden tucked away a loose ball after Pickford saved Rankin’s initial attempt.

Rugby went in front for the first time as Robbie Burns stuck a powerful shot in off the underside of the crossbar.

But in the dying moments, the clinical Moore claimed his hat trick, latching on to Tomkins’ inviting cross to snatch a draw for Uxbridge.
