FA Cup, Fourth Round Replay

Fulham 0-1 Sheffield United AET (Score 0-0 after 90 minutes)

Fulham's season took another turn for the worse after they were dumped out of the FA Cup by League One strugglers Sheffield United.

Shaun Miller's winner in the dying seconds of extra time sent the Blades through as the Premier League basement boys put in a dismal display at Craven Cottage.

Rene Meulensteen made eight changes from the side that lost to Southampton at the weekend, with Brede Hangeland, Dan Burn and Scott Parker the only survivors.

Fulham struggled to break the Blades down in a dull opening 45 minutes, while Jamie Murphy and John Brayford tried their luck from long range for the visitors.

With no improvement after the break, Meulensteen brought on Damien Duff and Ashkan Dejagah to try and inject some life into his side.

They did look more threatening. Youngster Muamer Tankovic flashed an effort wide, while Pajtim Kasami's long shot flew over, but neither side could a winner as the game headed into extra time.

Brayford came close to breaking the deadlock on 99 minutes, but David Stockdale did well to dive low to his right and push the ball away.

Kasami was a couple of inches away from finding the breakthrough when his left-footed piledriver flew agonisingly wide late on.

However, Miller finally settled this tie in the 119th minute when he nodded the ball in from close range.
