FC Bridge did the double last week to remain on course for an incredible four-trophy haul before the season is out.

Bazza Walsh’s boys recorded a 2-1 extra-time victory over Manor in the Division One League Cup Final just two weeks after the club’s County Cup triumph.

"It wasn't the prettiest by any means but all that matters is getting our hands on that trophy. Every player was unbelievable today and I'm so proud of them," said manager Bazza Walsh.

"We had a great season last year but we've topped that by some distance. This team are hungry to win and when you have that mentality this is what you get."

After a closely fought 90 minutes where Bridge dominated proceedings but failed to score, the game came alive in extra time.

Excellent build-up play from Jack Bigwood and Brad Hand saw midfielder Tommy Veal teed up with a volley which he expertly fired past the Manor goalkeeper to make it 1-0 to Bridge.

Jack Bigwood’s cool finish gave them breathing space and they needed it in the end as Dale Gordon gave away a penalty and Manor stuck it away to make it a nervy finish.
