Diego Costa scored a stoppage-time equaliser as Chelsea frustrated Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Jesse Lingard looked to have given the Red Devils victory with a second-half effort before Costa rolled in a dramatic equaliser to make it 10 unbeaten under Guus Hiddink.

Both sides named unchanged starting XIs for the clash with Willian making his 100th start for the Blues and Eden Hazard remaining on the bench.

Manchester United started strongly in west London and Chelsea had to rely on a stunning fingertip save from Thibaut Courtois to deny Anthony Martial the opener.

Guus Hiddink’s side grew into the half and Costa was a whisker away from sending the Blues in ahead when he flashed a low drive past the post.

Oscar then went close after playing a neat one-two with Cesar Azpilicueta but his effort easily cleared the crossbar.

Chelsea wanted a penalty as the first half came to a close and it looked a decent shout as Daley Blind appeared to use an arm to block John Terry’s shot.

Paramedics and players surround Kurt Zouma

United started the second period as strongly as they had the first with Courtois in fine form to keep out Wayne Rooney and then Martial.

Stamford Bridge then descended into silence as Kurt Zouma landed in an awful heap on the turf and was stretched off with a nasty-looking injury.

There was nothing the Belgian could do to keep out Lingard’s strike though as the youngster spun away from his marker and fired into the far corner.

Pedro was brought on, with Eden Hazard having already come off the bench, but neither could pick the United lock.

Instead it was left to Costa to fire them level at the death as he rolled home from close range in injury time.
