Brentford picked up a creditable 0-0 draw at Aston Villa but they will, once again, rue their missed chances.
After a quiet first half, chance wise, that Brentford shaded, the Bees came to life after the break.
But, as has been an issue with the west Londoners all season, they were unable to take their chances.
Josh Clarke was denied by a save from Sam Johnstone before Neal Maupay and John Egan fired wide when well placed.
Dan Bentley made a fine save from James Chester in the closing stages of the afternoon as the Bees started to tire.
However, they were worthy of the point they picked up on the road with a second clean sheet on the spin.
Dan Bentley – Made a wonderful save in the closing stages to deny the home side a win they would not have deserved. 8
Henrik Dalsgaard – Pushed forward and caused the Villa defence problems. Benefited from having a player in front of him who tracked back. 7
John Egan – Given the captain's armband after the departure of Harlee Dean and led the side well. With Dalsgaard pushing forward, Egan provided strong cover. 8
Yoann Barbet – A calming influence in defence, making a goal saving tackle, and gave Sam Johnstone problems with a free kick that the Villa goalkeeper failed to gather cleanly. 7
Rico Henry – The full back did a solid job on the left hand side, running himself into the ground in the process, with Villa preferring to target Dalsgaard. 8
Ryan Woods – Sensational. The 'Ginger Pirlo' dominated the midfield and was the best player on the pitch. 9
Sergi Canos – Sadly lasted just over half an hour on his return to action before, seemingly, suffering a recurrence of his ankle injury going in for a tackle. 7
Romaine Sawyers – Linked up the play with some great passing. 7
Nico Yennaris – Produced some good touches in the midfield as he tried to link defence with attack. 7
Ollie Watkins – The left wing isn't Watkins' best position I feel but he acquitted himself well, cutting inside and giving the home defence problems. 8
Neal Maupay – Isolated for large parts of the game. When he did get a sniff, the ball just didn't fall his way. Did provide a great ball to Josh Clarke, with the winger forcing a good save from Sam Johnstone. 6
Josh Clarke (for Sergi Canos) – Will feel he should have scored when he was put clean through by Maupay.
Justin Shaibu (for Neal Maupay) – Not enough time to make an impact. N/A
