Barry Stone says AFC Hayes are not helping themselves by letting frustrations boil over onto the pitch after watching his side go more than two months without a win.

Saturday’s 3-0 loss at Potters Bar was the Brook’s seventh straight defeat.

Hayes have not recorded a victory since the 1-0 triumph at Aylesbury United at the start of October and the rotten run leaves Ian Crane’s side rock bottom of the league.

To compound matters, goalkeeper Sam Mazurek faces a three-match ban for after being sent off in the previous fixture against St Ives - another 3-0 reverse.

“Although the officials were once again very poor [against St Ives] we cannot keep on blaming them for our lack of discipline,” Stone explained.

“Now we will be without our first-choice keeper for three games which will make our efforts to climb out of bottom places all the more difficult.”

Hayes face a tall order to pick up those much-needed three points this weekend as they take on second-placed Bedworth United on Saturday.

Uxbridge have struggled for form this season too but recorded a welcome 2-0 win at Marlow this week - despite missing Mark Dennison and Dave Thomas through suspension.

The reliable duo were replaced by reserve team skipper Mitchell Wiseman and Kevin Ayodele, with William Wambeek moving to centre-half, and the three youngsters excelled.

A clean sheet was a fine reward for the trio and goals from Lewis Cole and a stunning effort from Chris Moore did the damage for the Reds at the other end.

Northwood , who play Beaconsfield this weekend, lost 5-3 at Aylesbury despite another goal from comeback kid Niko Muir and two for Michael Murray.

Hanwell Town and North Greenford United were beaten by Kettering and Rugby Town respectively.
