Hayes and Yeading United were denied all three points by Dave Gilroy's 87th minute equaliser in the 2-2 draw with Bath City in the Blue Square Conference South clash at Church Road on Saturday (17/1).

United were dealt an early blow when Darren Edwards put Bath ahead on five minutes but Josh Scott had the home side level on 13 minutes when he headed home from Steven Gregory's cross.

Scott was then instrumental on putting H&Y ahead after 31 minutes when his shot forced Bath keeper Steve Perrin into a mistake which resulted in City defender Steve Jones putting the ball into his own net.

United looked like they were going to get the three points until in the 87th minute Gilroy scored from close range after some uncertainty in the H&Y defence.

The point moves Garry Haylock's side upto seventh spot in the table and with Welling United and Maidenhead United both losing they are only two points of the play-off positions.
