Hayes and Yeading United made it five straight wins and further strenthened their Blue Square Conference South play-off hopes with a 3-1 victory over Worcester City at Church Road last night (Tuesday 10/3).

The win consolidated United's fifth spot in the table and closed the gap on fourth placed Eastleigh to just three points.

Josh Scott got United off to a flying start wiith his 17th league goal of the campaign after only 11 minutes and three minutes later recent signing from Maidenhead United Dale Binns put H&Y 2-0 ahead.

Worcester got back in the match on 70 minutes when their leading marksman Marco Adaggio netted his 14th goal of the season but Will Hendry's 83rd minute effort ended any hopes of a comeback for the visitors and bagged three more impressive points for in form H&Y.
