Premier Divisionharingey Borough 0  Harefield United 5,

Fast starting Harefield United struck twice in the opening 10 minutes as they put lowly Haringey Borough to the sword.

Murray Williamson and Jamie Houliston settled the Hares down almost immediately and Tom Kirk's strike meant the game was all but over inside 32 minutes.

Although Harefield eased off two further goals meant they equalled their biggest league win of the season and stretched their lead at the top to 10 points.

Haringey keeper Dan White failed to come for a cross from Adam Willis, leaving Williamson to head in from close range and seven minutes later the home defence failed to clear a ball and Paul Haynes slotted home.

The floodgates looked like they were about to open but the Hares sat back and let Haringey into the game somewhat.

Nevertheless, Haynes still hit the woodwork with one strike and soon after he headed against the bar for the second time before a corner found White wanting and Kirk scrambled home Hare-field's third of the afternoon.

It was not all one-way traffic and the pacy Karl Lewis and Chris West kept the Hares defence busy, with visiting keeper Charlie Miller making at least one decent stop.

The Hares started the second half slowly and Haringey dominated early on as their defence looked more composed.

Paul Abbott gave Joe Kelly little room and Lewis once again ran the Hares defence ragged at times but Haringey's lack of finishing power meant they had nothing to show for their efforts.

And Harefield sealed victory on 60 minutes when Williamson won possession, quickly found Haynes and Denver Morris latched on to his through ball before out-pacing the defence to slide it past the hapless White.

Haringey never stopped battling and Miller produced another smart stop to deny Kesi Dryden, while Fabian Brown's break had the Hares back pedaling to preserve their clean sheet as a Lewis shot cleared Miller but substitute Brown headed off the line.

Brown then added the fifth goal, heading in an Adam Willis corner at the far post.
