Albie Burgess ensured a great start for Whitton Wanderers U11 Eagles on their new home ground on Sunday.

Burgess was the hat-trick hero of a 4-1 win over Barnes Eagles Juniors – what better way to begin life at Whitton Park. His heroics came after a superb opening goal from Leon Griffiths, but they were only enough to share the man of the match honours with Alfie McMaster who gave a commanding performance in goal for the hosts.

There were more hat-trick heroes as the U16s produced their best performance of the season so far to thrash Kew Association Colts 7-0. Isaac Impiana and Csaba Varadi were the two with claims to the match ball, while Charlie Buchman scored his first goal for the club.

Not to be outdone Oliver Palmer was another to bag a treble to help the U8 Eagles to a first win of the season in a thriller against Claygate Royal Swans. Palmers first two goals and a stunning strike from Jackson Lewis-Cole gave Hawks a 3-1 lead only for Claygate to get back to 3-3 with time almost up.However, Palmer had the last laugh, completing his treble to seal a 4-3 win.

Wanderers’ U8 Hawks also made a flying start to the campaign with a 5-2 win over Bedfont & Feltham Youth. Amar Rashid and Daniel MacKinney bagged a brace apiece, while Enis Neziri was also on target in a 5-2 win which saw three players make their debuts.

Five star: Whitton Wanderers U8 Hawks

The U10 Falcons also soared beating Woking Town Youth 3-2 thanks to a double from Samaleh Rizak and one from debutant Matthew Smeathers.

It was not all a story of wins however with U10 Hawks being held to a frustrating 4-4 draw at SFCC Galaxy despite going 3-0 up and hitting the woodwork four times.Benji Woodard and Sherif Neziri both scored twice, but a last gasp equaliser from the hosts denied Hawks all three points.

And the U15s lost their 100 per cent record at top of the table Carshalton despite a man of the match performance from goalkeeper Lewis Gallifant.

At Bedfont & Feltham Youth, in-house rivalry was ignited as the club’s U10 Yellows met their counterparts the U10 Blues, the former running riot to win 9-0 and leave their opponents feeling the same colour as their shirts. George Courtlakis was the chief tormentor, bagging five in the rout, while Aziz Classen weighed in with a hat-trick and Emanuel Kuti got the other.

There were three other hat-trick heroes in the club this week, two of them from the two youngest sides on show.Jack Ransom got his first ever treble in the U7 Yellows’ game against Halliford Colts, and not to be outdone, Anthony Joyson matched that feat against Kew Association Lions.

Goal trail: Bedfont & Feltham U7 Yellows

Sadly, Jakub Lewandowska’s hat-trick heroics proved in vain for the U9s as they lost a goal fest to CB Hounslow Whites 8-5. Alfred Amponsah notched a brace in the defeat.

The U12 and U16s were also beaten, Charlie Collins’ brace failing to save the former from a 3-2 loss to Carshalton Athletic Whites, while Keegan Stewart was among those on the mark for the latter as they went down 4-2 to Alexandra United.

Meanwhile, Concorde Rangers U11s' 100 per cent record remains intact thanks to Joshan Panesar’s late winner at home to Cowley Youth. Raouf Medjhoun fired the hosts in front only for the visitors to level and it was against the run of play when Rangers restored the lead courtesy of Josh Stewart’s long range effort.

It looked like they would have to settle for a point when Cowley levelled once more, but with time ticking down Panesar danced into the area to poke home the winner.
