Nedum Onuoha and Jake Bidwell have both been supporting Brandon Comley during his brief spell back at Rs before going on loan to Grimsby again.

The 21-year-old midfielder spent the first half of the campaign with the Mariners and made a brief cameo appearance for Hoops at Reading before returning to the north east.

And he revealed that when he has been in and around QPR's first team squad both skipper Onuoha and summer signing Bidwell have been positive influences on him.

“When I've been around the team, Nedum has always been there and a good guy to me and he's like that as well,” Comley said.

“Jake Bidwell has been good to me. He's just a nice guy. You're never scared to speak to him. He's a friendly face.

Comley has been at the club since the age of eight and he and his peers have been given a chance by Ian Holloway in recent weeks and he refers to the 'rookie Rangers' as a band of brothers.

“There are a few of the young lads getting chances. All the boys have taken their chances and done very well. We're a band of brothers,” he added.

“I think is my 13th of 14th year. I've been here since I was eight. I grew up in north London. I was a fan of Paul Scholes and David Beckham.

“I did have a thing for United but Scholesy was a player I enjoyed watching. I used to be a winger and watched Cristiano Ronaldo.”
