Justin Shaibu paid tribute to Brentford striker Lasse Vibe and labelled the 30-year-old as a big help to him.

The 19-year-old has made five substitute appearances for the Bees with four of those coming since February and he has impressed when on the pitch.

And he hailed Danish compatriot Vibe for helping him adapt to the rigours of the English Championship.

Shaibu said: “He's been a big help to me. It's always good to have someone from your own country as we can speak Danish.

“He's been helping me with my positioning and watching him play is a good experience for me.”

A big help: Lasse Vibe

Shaibu's latest appearance came in the 3-1 triumph over QPR and he has enjoyed working with the first team on a regular basis.

The Dane added: “It was very nice to be involved in a derby win. The fans were unbelievable against QPR.

“It's been good recently. I've been trying to stay with the squad as much as we can and get more minutes. The lads have all been good to me and taking care of me.”

Shaibu is looking to notch his first goal for Brentford's first team and he has promised fans he will play the high intensity game that the Bees do.

He added: “There's a lot of aggressiveness and intensity and hopefully some goals. I'm hoping for at least one.”
