FULHAM'S preparations for tomorrow's Europa League showdown at Wolfsburg have been dealt a major blow after Clint Dempsey was ruled out through injury.

The American got crocked in the dying minutes of Sunday's win against Wigan, and boss Roy Hodgson expects him to spend at least a week on the sidelines with a thigh problem.

However, Bobby Zamora is set to return as the Whites take a slender 2-1 lead into the second leg, despite missing the victory against the Latics.

The Fulham frontman has travelled with the squad, but will have a late fitness test, while Stephen Kelly is also available again.

However, strikers Andy Johnson (knee) and David Elm (ill) miss out.
