With the news of an injury pile-up behind the scenes at QPR, Ian Holloway is turning to youth to deputise for his first team stars.

In an interview with the club's official website, Ollie confirmed the inclusion of three under-23s stars for the trip to Pride Park.

But who are the young trio set to travel with the seniors?

Michael Petrasso

The 22-year-old is a regular for the Canada national team, picking up six caps despite his young age.

Michael Petrasso

Petrasso is predominantly a right-winger, however after playing regularly at right-back for his country, his versatility could certainly work in his favour as he tries to break into the first team, something he'll be looking to do sooner rather than later with just over six months remaining on his contract.

Paul Smyth

Ian Holloway has been singing the praises of the Northern Ireland under-21 winger over recent weeks, describing him as 'exciting' and 'a breath of fresh air'.

Paul Smyth

A winger by trade, the 20-year-old is well-ahead of schedule as he breaks into the first team fold for the first time, and he faces a big opportunity having only stepped into the professional game two months ago.

Having seen him for the under-23s, Smyth is certainly a talent with an exciting future.

Ilias Chair

The young midfielder has already featured for the first team in the Carabao Cup this season; featuring against Northampton Town and starting against west London rivals Brentford.

The 20-year-old is certainly a top talent and a confident lad, and will hopefully welcome the opportunity to impress if called upon against the Rams.
