When it comes to creating chances, few players can rival Chelsea's  Cesc Fabregas.

The Spanish midfielder has created 31 scoring chances in his 10 appearances this season - the second most in the Premier League.

Manchester United's Angel Di Maria averages 3.3 chances per game, edging just ahead of Fabregas' 3.1.

Manchester City's James Milner has created 2.9 chances per game, while Southampton's Dusan Tadic and Stewart Downing of West Ham complete the creative top five with 2.8 chances per game each.

When it comes to the number of assists provided per game though, the top five changes.

Fabregas sits at the top with 0.9 assists per game followed by Gylfi Sigurdsson with 0.7.

Chelsea's Brazilian midfielder Ramires has 0.6 assists per game, the same as Everton's Leighton Baines and Tadic.

Di Maria slips out of the top five with 0.5 assists per game, the same as Hull's Stephen Quinn who has three assists from six games.

In fact, just 15.4 per cent of Di Maria's chances were turned into goals by United's other stars.

By contrast, Fabregas saw 29 per cent of his chances converted into goals.

When it comes to clubs then Burnley, Liverpool and Aston Villa are the most wasteful of their scoring chances.

Burnley have converted just four per cent of the chances created by their players into goals, while Liverpool and Villa have turned in just five per cent of theirs.

Chelsea and West Ham, however, have converted 15 per cent of chances created by their players into goals, while Everton and Swansea have converted 14 per cent of theirs.
