Fulham remain one of only three teams in the Premier League without an away win - and still have the worst scoring record on their travels in the top-flight. But fans must feel like cracking open the Champagne right now.

No-one gave them much chance of emerging from Anfield unscathed last week and the prognosis was not much better this weekend for their trip to an upwardly mobile Aston Villa.

But two 0-0 draws, coming on the back of home wins against Newcastle and Tottenham, have inspired hopes of a top half finish and maybe even a re-writing of the history books.

Fulham have never finished higher than ninth in the top flight (a feat achieved under Chris Coleman) but they will start to dream if they maintain this form of being so hard to beat.

It was another unspectacular afternoon for the Whites but Roy Hodgson won't mind that. His team are cutting out the errors that cost them points on their travels earlier in the season and they are working hard to build a platform for the rest of the season.

The boss will advise everyone not to get too carried away just yet, though. Fulham are in a healthy 10th place, but still only four points above the relegation zone. They take on Man City next at Craven Cottage.
