West Drayton Youth all but cleaned up at the Explorers football tournament over the weekend.

The lowest place for any of the club’s seven sides at Hillingdon over two days was a semi-final berth.

The U13’s in blue beat their pals in yellow in the semi only on a penalty shoot-out, but then changed shirts to pink-and-black and battered Harrow St Joseph’s 6-0 in the final in a category that raised a hefty 24 clubs.

The West Drayton U15s and U14s won the Plate competition and the U12’s were runners-up.

The U11s finished in the same second spot in the Shield final after going down 1-0 in the final, and the U9’s rounded off a great day by topping their group in their first competition as a team.
