It seems nobody wants to take on the Adebayo Akinfenwa with Watford striker Troy Deeney admitting he wouldn’t fancy his chances in an arm wrestle with the striker.

The AFC Wimbledon forward, known to his legion of fans as the Beast for his muscular physique, is recognised as the strongest man in football.

Hornets skipper Deeney isn’t short on power either and has been tearing it up in the Premier League for Quique Sánchez Flores’ FA Cup semi-finalists.

The 27-year-old is made of tough stuff from his days working as bricklayer where he earned £120 a week before Walsall took a gamble on him.

He also describes a stint in his prison in 2012 as the “best thing that ever happened to him” after he was released three months into a 10-month sentence.

However, Deeney doesn’t reckon he could bring down the Beast in a battle of strength after being quizzed over who would win an arm wrestle between the pair.

Akinfenwa , whose response (seen below) suggested he wouldn’t have things all his own way, is suspended for this weekend’s visit of York City.

He was sent off for foul and abusive language in the recent defeat at Bristol Rovers and will sit out the clash at Kingsmeadow.
