Brentford and Dagenham equalled a League Cup record with their astonishing 6-6 draw in the first round on Tuesday night.

The Bees threw away the lead FIVE times as the Daggers fought back, and Mark Warburton's men had Harlee Dean to thank for forcing penalties after he levelled three minutes from the end of extra-time.

Richard Lee was the hero in the shoot-out as he denied Jack Connors and Ashley Chambers as the west Londoners eventually triumphed 4-2 on spot-kicks.

However, boss Warburton was unhappy how his much-changed side surrendered control against their League Two opponents.

He said: "The players described that as embarrassing, disappointing and frustrating. From a position of total dominance in the first half and we could have scored more to suddenly giving goals away."
