AFC Wimbledon let the lead slip twice as Tranmere came from behind to earn a point at Kingsmeadow on Saturday.

Jack Smith's first Dons goal put the hosts ahead, only for Armand Gnanduillet to haul Rovers level.

Bayo Akinfenwa's bullet header restored Wimbledon's advantage, but Gnanduillet grabbed his second to clinch a 2-2 draw.

Dons boss Neal Ardley was frustrated his side failed to hang onto the points as Rovers pegged them back.

He said: “It’s disappointing not to win, but I never agreed it would be easy just because they were the bottom team."
