AFC Wimbledon ended the League Two season in disappointing fashion at Accrington Stanley on Saturday.

The Dons had promised an improved performance after last weekend’s home hammering against Morecambe but failed to deliver at the Crown Ground as they went down 3-2 to the mid-table side.

Furious AFC Wimbledon manager Neal Ardley accused his players of being dishonest in their application.

“To be honest with you I’m tired of trying to come back,” Ardley said after Wimbledon’s latest fightback fell short at Accy.

“It’s been the story of our season. I can’t make any excuses. It’s probably one of the few times I’ve felt my team were dishonest. My team-talk was all about pride. It’s a tough place to come but we wanted to finish the season with a bit of pride."
